First you’ll have to know the version of current BIOS installed on your system. In the larger right pane, locate BIOS Version/Date. Do not turn off your laptop in any case during the updating process.
To update your BIOS on your HP computer/laptop, you will first have to check which version of BIOS is currently running on your system. Make sure the battery is present in the laptop and the AC adapter is connected with it the whole time.
Reboot when asked and you’ve got the latest BIOS version in town.
To update BIOS through a USB, the USB needs to be of 1 GB or less. Keep tapping the F10 key to enter the BIOS settings menu.
